Ice Leaves Black Lake

April saw spring come to Black Lake.  We were at the Lodge to see the ice leave this year.  It is an interesting event as nature scrapes clean the lake.  It sounds like glass breaking, a kind of tinkling sound.

Some big chunks of ice floated by the deck.  There was even a muskrat diving off one chunk and having a great time!

Goodrich Shower

June 15, 2013 was a day of celebration.  Family and friends honored our neighbor and Katelyn's high school friend, Denice Goodrich with a bridal shower.

The bride to be!

The bridesmaids started off the wonderful buffet.

Precious little ones were part of the celebration!  Two little Colterman's.

 Gina Byington and daughter.

 Aylah Goodrich with Grandma Donna.

Cupcakes in a unique presentation!

This special gift was from Katelyn, the bridesmaid unable to be at the shower.

A gift from the bridesmaids.

A shawl of bows!

Turning One

A Little Tinkerbell

February 7th, 2013 was a special day for the Ten Eyck family because Alyvia celebrated her first birthday.  With a Tinkerbell theme, Alyvia came in her Halloween costume made by Grandma Ten Eyck.

Alyvia was a bit overwhelmed by coming into a room full of people.

Are they all here for me?
 Safe in Dad's arms!

Alyvia had a great time playing with her good friend.

    Plenty of cake for everyone!
What a pretty cake for a pretty little girl.

Two fairy princesses!

 Bring on the gifts!

Reading cards is fun - especially when there is money inside!

Ride 'em cowgirl!

Great-grammie and Bumpa found a horse just the right size!

What is in this bag?

A great story!   Grandma and Papa Ten Eyck read it to me every time I turn a page.

So many toys.

So little time!

Aunt Stacy knew every princess needs her own carriage!

Doesn't this come with a driver?
Thanks, Dad!  This is just the beginning of driving me places.

Time for cake!
Yep!  I'm ONE!

What do you think, Mom?

OK!  Let's get to the cake!

   Where do we cut?

 How about here?

Check out these fingers!

Yummy!

Want some frosting, Mom?

Forget the fingers!

Just bite!

A wonderful party, ending with three beautiful

Ten Eyck women!
